Excel has many useful features like Macros, VBAs, and Add-ins. You can access these features via the Developer tab. However, the Developer tab is not visible by default. If you use these features often, you can add the Developer tab to your ribbon for quick access.
2 Methods of adding the Developer tab in Microsoft Excel:

Method #1: Add the Developer Tab via the Menu Ribbon
You can use this method if you already have an Excel file open.
Step #1: Open your Excel workbook
You can open any existing workbook you’ve created.
Step #2: Right-click on the ribbon
Right-click anywhere in any blank area on a menu ribbon.
Three options will appear.
Select the Customize the Ribbon option.

Step #3: Tick the Developer checkbox
The Customize the Ribbon window will open.
On the right, underneath Customize the Ribbon: Main Tabs, you will find the Developer checkbox.
Tick it to activate it.

Step #4: Click OK
Once you check the Developer checkbox, click the OK button.

You will now see the Developer tab alongside your other main menu options.

Method #2: Add the Developer Tab via General Options
If you haven’t opened an Excel workbook, you can use this method to add the Developer tab from the app itself.
Step #1: Open the Excel app
Firstly, open the Excel app.

Step #2: Click on Options
In the bottom-left corner, you will see Options. Click on it.

Step #3: Tick the Developer checkbox
In the left panel, click on Customize Ribbon.
On the right, underneath Customize the Ribbon: Main Tabs, you will find the Developer checkbox.
Tick it to activate it.

Step #4: Click OK
Once you’re done, click the OK button.
You will now see the Developer tab alongside your other main menu options.
