How to Change Bullet Colors in Slides

This tutorial explains how to change bullet colors in Google Slides.

2 Methods of changing bullet colors in Google Slides:

  • Change the theme
  • Use the Text Color tool

Let us begin.

Method #1: Change the Theme of the Google Slides Presentation

This method is easy and quick, but it does not give you much control over the selection of colors. It changes the overall appearance of your slides. We recommend that you only use it in a presentation that has a few slides.

Step #1: Open your Google Slides presentation

Log into your Google account, open the Google apps list, and choose Slides.

Open your existing Google Slides presentation. It should be under the Recent presentations section of the Google Slides home screen.

Step #2: Change the theme of your presentation

In the navigation pane on the left, select the slide that contains the bulleted list.

Notice the default black color of the bullets in our example slide below.

Click on Slide in the main menu.

From the dropdown menu, select Change theme.

Experiment with the different themes that appear on the Themes pane on the right. Select the theme that changes the color of the bullets to your liking. In this case, we chose the Streamline theme that changed the color of the bullets to green.

Method #2: Use the Text Color Tool

We recommend this method because it gives you greater control over the choice of colors. It also does not interfere with the theme of your presentation.

Step #1: Open your Google Slides presentation

Log into your Google account, open the Google apps list, and choose Slides.

Open your existing Google Slides presentation. It should be under the Recent presentations section of the Google Slides home screen.

Step #2: Change the color of the bullets

In the navigation pane on the left, select the slide that contains the bulleted list. Notice the default black color of the bullets in our example slide below.

Click on one of the bullets to select all the bullets and activate the Text Color tool on the toolbar.

Click the Text Color tool to open the color palette. Choose the color you prefer. In our example, we chose the blue color.

It changed the color of the bullets to blue.
