By default, Google Calendar does not have a built-in dark mode selector yet. But there is a work-around, especially for the Web version of the Google calendar.
You can open the web version of Google calendar using a Web browser. You can install a dark mode extension in your browser. This allows opening the calendar in dark mode as well.

Method #1: Install Night Eye Dark Mode Extension
Step #1: Open Google Calendar in a web browser
Open your favorite Web Browser.
Log into Google using your credentials.
Open Google Calendar.
Note: If you do not have any dark mode extension in your browser, Google calendar will display with a white background. This is its normal mode.
Step #2: Install Night Eye
Open a new tab in your browser and search for Night Eye.
Open the Night Eye webpage.
Scroll down until you come to the Get Night Eye button.
The page will display supported browser icons.
Make sure the list includes the browser you are using.
Click on the Get Night Eye button.
Your Web browser will ask for confirmation before adding the extension.
Click on Add to Firefox. (Or the name of your browser)
Note: As we are using the Firefox browser, the tab shows Firefox. If you are using a different browser, its name will appear in place of Firefox.
Night Eye will warn you that dark mode will become effective immediately.
Your calendar now shows in dark mode.
Step #3: Control Night Eye
Click on the Night Eye icon in the top right corner of your browser.
This opens the Night Eye menu.
In the menu, you can adjust the darkness of your web pages.
To revert to normal mode, click on the Normal tab.
Click on the ON icon at the bottom, and Turn On the normal mode.
Your calendar will revert to the normal mode.
Method #2: Install Dark Reader Dark Mode Extension
Step #1: Open Google Calendar in Web Browser
Open your favorite Web Browser.
Log into Google using your credentials.
Open Google Calendar.

Step #2: Install Dark Reader
Open a new tab and search for Dark Reader.
Open the Dark Reader webpage.
At the top of the page are tabs for downloading Dark Reader.
The tabs also display supported browser icons.
Make sure the list includes your browser.
Click on the appropriate option for your browser.
Your Web browser will ask for confirmation before adding the extension.
Click on Add to Firefox. (Or the name of your browser)
Note: As we are using the Firefox browser, the tab shows Firefox. If you are using a different browser, its name will appear in place of Firefox.
Your calendar will now be displayed in dark mode.
Step #3: Control Dark Reader
Click on the Dark Reader icon in the top right corner of your browser.
This opens the Dark Reader menu.
You can adjust the brightness, contrast, and other parameters of your web page.
To revert to the normal mode, click on the Light tab.
Your calendar will revert to the normal mode.
