We will show you how you can propose a new time for a Google calendar event.

It may have happened that you received an invitation to an event scheduled with others. But you would like to propose a new date or time for the event. If the event is available on a Google Calendar, it is easy to suggest rescheduling.

We will use simple, step-by-step instructions to make the process an easy one.

Let us begin.

Step #1: Open Google Calendar

Log in to Google using your credentials.

Open Google calendar.

Navigate to the event for which you wish to propose a new time.

Step #2: Propose a New Time

Single-click on the event to open it.

On the last line containing Going?, next to the Maybe button, click on the down triangle.

A new line with two buttons will open below.

Click on the button Propose a new time.

Note: This button will only appear if you are a participant in the event and not its organizer.

This will open a dialog box with two panes.

Step #3: Send Proposal

In the left pane, click on the date/time under Starts to change the start date/time.

Click on the date/time under Ends to change the end date/time.

You can also write a message to support your proposed change.

Once you are done, click on the Send proposal button.

This will send emails to all participants, including the organizer of the event.

Step #4: Final Acceptance

Until the organizer accepts your proposal, the event will still show the original time. But your proposal and the new time will also show.

After acceptance by the organizer, the event will show the new time.
