You can easily hide Single or Multiple rows in Google sheets.
Two ways to hide rows in Google Sheets
- Using keyboard shortcuts to hide rows
- Using the Hide rows option
Method 1: Using keyboard shortcuts to hide rows
Step 1: Select the rows.
Simply press Shift and select rows if they are present in a continuous sequence. For rows that are interspersed, press Command on a Mac and ctrl on a Windows system and select the rows.
Step 2: Press the keyboard shortcuts.
With the rows selected, press the keys Ctlr+Alt+9 on Windows or Command+Option+9 on Mac.
This will hide your rows.
The arrows on rows 5 and 9 indicate the hidden rows.
In the case of rows that are separated apart, here’s what you will get:
Method 2: Using the Hide rows option
Step 1: Select the rows.
Simply press Shift and select rows if they are present in a continuous sequence. For rows that are interspersed, press Cmd on a mac and Ctrl on a windows system and select the rows.
Step 2: Right click and select Hide rows.
Right-click anywhere on the selected rows and select Hide rows option from the dropdown that opens up. In this case, we have Hide rows 5 – 9.
You get a result like this.
Unhide Rows
To unhide rows, click on the multiple rows where arrows indicate hidden rows and right-click.
Click on the Unhide rows option from the dropdown that opens up.
