Create a Pie Chart in Word
Step #1: Open MS Word document
Open a Word document where you want to create a pie chart.
Navigate to the location where you want to insert the pie chart.
Step #2: Open Insert Chart dialog box
In the main menu, click on the Insert tab to change the ribbon.
In the section Illustrations, click on the Chart icon.
This will open the Insert Chart dialog box.
Step #3: Insert a Pie Chart
In the Insert Chart dialog box, click on the Pie tab.
The right pane will display five types of Pie Charts:
- 3D Pie
- Pie of Pie
- Bar of Pie
Click to select any type.
For this tutorial, we have selected 3D Pie.
Click on the OK button at the bottom.
The Pie Chart and its data appear in the document.
Customize a Pie Chart in MS Word
Step #1: Change Chart Data
Click inside the data chart and change it according to your stats.
The pie chart immediately reflects the changes you have made.
Once satisfied with the changes, close the chart data by clicking on the X icon in the top right-hand corner.
Step #2: Change Chart Style
Click on the pie chart to select it.
Four icons appear on the right side.
Click on the third icon from the top, which looks like a paintbrush.
A selection menu opens, allowing you to change the Style and Color.
Click on a suitable style.
The pie chart changes to reflect the choice you made.
